This period house was extended in 2012 and now needed personalising for the new young family who love to entertain. Having travelled extensively, they weren't fans of the winter darkness but we remedied this in the main reception rooms by commissioning hidden LED lighting behind bespoke cornice which is daylight-balanced so it provides a soft natural light in the winter. This is combined with warm evening lights and warm LED lights in units, which are app-controlled so that they can create different moods.

The living room is the main entertaining space and, inspired by Japandi design, we designed and made two beautiful pieces for them. The first is a drinks cabinet with slide and pivot pocket doors, bespoke oak glass holders and shelves, Corian worktop, bronze mirror, an integrated Fisher & Paykel Cool Drawer and lots of wine storage. The TV is hidden within a matching media unit with a motorised TV lift, sculpted oak shelves, matching Corian and bronze mirror, and integrated storage. Cobalt blue sofas, a stunning Moooi light and a geometric copper-based coffee table add to the drama.

As they didn't have a shoe storage unit in the hallway and all had to sit on the stairs to put their shoes on, we utilised the empty space under their stairs and built a bespoke unit covered in hard-wearing Hi-Macs, large drawers for storage and pull out seats covered in Alcantara fabric.

We also designed and built:
- Snug and Hall - storage units trimmed in solid walnut
- Master Bedroom: double wardrobes with LED lights in the rails, a new dressing room with a stunning jewellery and shoe unit lined in Alcantara, a chest of drawers, all trimmed in solid oak
- Children's bedrooms: three wardrobes with hidden drawers, finished with solid oak

We hope that this is a family home full of treasured pieces that they will enjoy for years to come.
