Meet Robert & Tamsin Allen, Founders & Creative Directors of Fawn Allen
Our journey to founding Fawn Allen began in London's creative industries, where Robert established himself as a fashion and portrait photographer while Tamsin worked as a creative director in advertising. During our time in London, we renovated several properties for ourselves and family members, developing our understanding of how to transform spaces while preserving their character. Our move in 2014 from bustling city life to a charming thatched cottage in Hampshire marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
Adapting our own period property sparked a passion for reimagining traditional homes. A chance encounter with a deer and her fawns near our cottage captured the essence of our new life and inspired our company's name – a moment that perfectly represented the natural beauty and serenity of Hampshire living.
Drawing on our creative backgrounds and extensive renovation experience, we recognised that many others making the transition from city to country life (and sometimes back again) shared our vision: the desire for sophisticated, contemporary interiors that respect and enhance a property's original character.

Drawing on our insights, we develop initial design concepts that address your needs while maximising your space's potential, presenting these through detailed mood boards, material samples, and conceptual drawings.
Technical Excellence
After a measured buiding survey is commissioned, detailed drawings and specifications ensure every aspect of your project is clearly communicated, from architectural changes to bespoke joinery details. M&E services are also commissioned to ensure all necessary electrics and plumbing routes are captured.
Implementation & Installation
Depending on our contracted services, we coordinate all aspects of your project, from structural changes to decorative finishes, with craftsmen ensuring perfect integration of every element.
The Final Details
Our team pays meticulous attention to every finish, joint, and detail, ensuring all elements work together harmoniously to create your exceptional space. At this stage, we also photograph the projdct for our portfolio.
SBID ACCREDITATION
The interior design side of Fawn Allen is accredited by the SBID, the Society of British & International Interior Designers, which is the professional body registered in the UK to accredit professionals in interior design. They regulate and promote the interior design profession for their members; maintain the highest educational and professional shared standards; protect clients and consumers via a strict international code of ethics and conduct and provide impartial advice and guidance for their accredited professionals.
