As more city-centre offices close after the Covid-19 pandemic, and more small businesses look to local areas for office space, there will be a greater demand for the conversion of rural outbuildings to office space. When presented though with an old stables, hay store or even cowshed, it may be difficult to imagine it as a beautiful office space. However Easter Park Farm Studio, converted by Richard Parr Associates in the Cotswolds, is a fine example of what can be achieved. This 95-square-metre barn has been given a new lease of life as offices and a workroom, using beautiful materials such as Douglas fir, Cotswold stone and recycled rubber for the flooring, and combining with mid-century modern furniture.
